We talk about hunger frequently in church but do very little in the means of fighting it. He gives encouragement and hope that something can and will be done about it if we empower ourselves.

Concern for the hungry belongs to the heart of the Scripture's testimony about God. The Bible's justice tradition serves as a canon within the canon that the Christian church dare not ignore. The Lord's Prayer demonstrates how justice for the hungry is also deeply rooted in the teaching of Jesus.
